The Carnegie Netball Club is committed to the health and safety of our players so that they can keep playing netball as long as possible.

Did you know that 85% of Netball injuries are knee and ankle injuries, 45% of those are knees, 25% are ACL tears? The majority of these injuries are happening to players aged between  15 – 18 years of age.

This is why the Club is implementing the KNEE Program.   Created by Netball Australia the KNEE Programme is an on court warm up, strength, balance and landing exercise programme designed to enhance movement efficiency and prevent KNEE and ANKLE injuries.

In 2018 we rolled out the program, with all our coaches invited to complete the online training created by Netball Australia, plus attending the initial informational presentation. We hope to equip our coaches on how to identify and correct players’ technique that will also help prevent injuries.
